This year marks the 140th anniversary of Timperley Sports Club. To celebrate the occasion the club are putting on a number of events in June.
The first of these events is a Faulty Towers themed dinner on Saturday 24th June (7 for 7.30pm).
‘Interactive Theatre International’ present ‘Faulty Towers - The Dining Experience’
The company play to sell out audiences all over the world (see below), and so we’re expecting a great event. Tickets are on sale now priced at £37.50 each which includes a 3 course dinner. Due to the requirements of the performance itself, there is a maximum number of tickets we can sell and so tickets are limited to two per member. You can reserve up to two tickets by emailing email@example.com, following which you will receive your tickets via email together with an invoice with details of the clubs bank account for remittance. Please note: this is a definite commitment to purchase and so please do not make a reservation unless you are certain you can attend. Alternatively tickets can be purchased in person from behind the bar by cash or card. Tickets for Saturday are currently reserved only for club members but will go on general sale soon.
In addition to the above, there will be a second matinee performance the following day, Sun 25th June at 12.30pm which we will also be on sale to the general public, although members and guests are of course also welcome – so if you can’t make the Saturday eve club celebrations, you can still take in the show.
If you wish to reserve tickets via email, please indicate which performance (Sat eve or Sun lunch) you are requesting tickets for.
Interactive Theatre International presents:
‘Faulty Towers - The Dining Experience’
This globetrotting show is truly quite legendary, selling out in places like Edinburgh Fringe, Raffles Singapore and Sydney Opera House. In this, its 20th birthday year, it debuts at Timperley Sports Club, but be warned: it will sell out here too, so early booking is essential.
Chaos greets audiences as soon as they walk through the door. In this fully immersive experience, the audience become diners in the infamous ‘Faulty’ restaurant, served a 3-course meal by Basil, Sybil and Manuel. Expect lashings of laughter, bowls full of spontaneity and as much audience participation as individual audience members want. And with 70% of the show improvised, no two performances are ever the same.
