The club are delighted to officially confirm Matt Hancock has accepted the role of Reserve Team manager following Abs Kallon's decision to step down at the end of the season.
The experienced defender only stopped playing 1st team football midway through the season and since then has supported Abs in the reserves and will now take on the mantle himself.
Matt's experience with Tooting and previously with Oxted is such that he is one of few players with an Elite league registration number in single figures. His professional approach and ability to squeeze match fees from the likes of Simpson and Patel made him an obvious choice for the role once it became available.
It finally took a combination of peer pressure, a finger and touch of oil before he finally accepted the role.
Matt will still continue playing and combine that with his role as manager and frequent skier. He hopes to appoint an assistant/coach to work alongside before we kick-off pre-season on June 26th. We are still open to applications.
Matt and his troops have some tasty friendlies lined up before they attempt a shot at the title to build on last seasons 6th place effort.
Best of luck to Matt and the Ressies squad this coming season. Anyone interested in joining Matt's squad should sign up for our trial day on June 24th.
