Totton and Eling continued their good recent form with victory at home to Christchurch. Both teams started the game well but it was T & E who had the better chances with christchurch's goalie forced into a number of good saves. The Millers continued to create chances and took the lead in the 31st minute when a Matt Hardiman free kick was flicked on by skipper Steve Marwood to the back post where Craig Feeney shot which appeared to be going in off the keeper was put into the net by Steve Jenkin. The remainder of the half saw chances at both ends but no further goals. The second half was similar to the first with both teams enjoying posession and The Millers goalie Sam Webb was forced into a couple of smart saves. The 2nd goal arrived in the 81st minute when a quick free kick led to a Matt Hardiman shot being saved and Zach Anderson being the quickest to react to the loose ball and scoring the 2nd of the night. Christchurch did get a late consolation when an inswinging cross evaded everyone and went into the back of the net. Another good result for T & E who now face a waterside derby at Fawley on Friday.
