Sun 13 Jan TBC - Cup Full time

Clustered Tows and Bletchley through to Area 2 Semi Final

Undefeated and topping their pool.

The Tows/Bletchley U15 squad traveled to Winchester with a squad of 20 girls. They arrived to find only 9 of the Winchester girls available to play.6 of the Tows/Bletchley where lent to the opposition so 15 played 14.
T/B were already sitting on the top of this pool undefeated whilst Winchester had not won a game.
It didn't take long before the experience and strength of the T/B players saw Captain on the day Incila Ocal go over for the first try.
The next 2 soon followed with Caitlin Donohue and Sadie Torres both scoring under the posts.
To try and even things up some of the more experienced T/B girls swapped to play for Winchester.
The game evened up a bit Ellie Hayes strong in the break down ripping lots of good possession for Winchester. 2 of the T/B great strengths are their tackling and rucking. Every time Winchester came forward tackles were never missed Anna Woodman making repeated tackles and the pack rucking in and regaining possession.
The next try came from Scrum half Bella Taylor breaking from the half way line and weaving her way through the Winchester defense.
The next solo try came from Annabelle Luntz who duly also converted it, she soon went over for her second.. With new kicking coach Ian Peanut Peterson as part staff the successful conversion rate has increased with full back Sinead Parker kicking all 4 of her attempts today. Bella Taylor going over the white wash again just before half time saw the score at 43-0.
Second half and 6 new players went over to the Winchester squad including top try scorer Lucy Ramskill, East Mids player Bella, loose ball queen Annabelle luntz, there is no one I cant tackle Nell Bellenger, Strong as an ox and look at me looping Erin Donnoley and safe hands Sinead Parker.
With these new players on board Winchester started to see more of the ball and made good ground.
The second half though was the Sadie Torres show. Strong running, breaking tackles and being there in support saw her score 4 second half tries and deservedly get player of the match as voted by the Winchester girls. Most of this half saw the T/B girls with White Line Fever, again and again trying to go through on their own and being taken down. When they eventually did ship it out wide new girl on the wing Amelia Yates scored in the corner.
A perfect example of letting the ball do the work for you, much to the relief of the coaches who had been pulling what was left of their hair out. Another strong run by Incilla and she scored a second. The game was rounded of with Saide scoring under the posts and converting her own try. Final score 0-77.
All players came of with a smile on their face and new friendships found. Respect to all the girls that played for the opposition giving 100% and desperate to get Winchester on the score board.
4 weeks time the semi finals not sure where or who against, but who ever and where ever this squad will go into full of confidence 3 from 3.
They next play together at The Saints tournament on the 26th January.
