It would be great to see a few more of our boys and girls transferring their sports skills into Cricket this Summer with Trafford MV C.C.

Junior Winter Practice starts as detailed below locally in Sale. We would like to see new players aged 7 - 12 years and also new helpers too !

Its hard to believe but the Cricket season will be upon us in the next few months – mid April.

We have entered two age group teams, an under 9’s and an under 11’s. The under 9’s will play more friendlies than league games but this will allow us to play a couple of the older lads with the u9’s.

If you have any young boys or girls interested in playing please contact Andrew Hamer on 07766 512454 or Wilf Dooley on 01942 884542 - Thanks

With the knowledge and agreement of the other team coaches we will also be able to play Oscar, luke and Seth at u11; maybe not all together but we can manage this situation, also after discussion with the league we can arrange some mixed age friendlies.

We have no fixed date yet of when we plan to return to MV to play outdoor games but the good news is that we have managed to secure some indoor training.

We have a block booking of 10 weeks commencing on the 14 February at 4 pm for 1 hour; the cost of this will be £2.00 per child.

The venue is: Manor High School, Manor Avenue, Sale, M33 5JX

We have hired the school sports hall which will allow us to provide indoor coaching not only for batting and bowling but also catching and fielding practice; we can even play indoor matches.
I believe this will give us a better facility for the mixed ages and allow us to provide a more positive coaching environment.

The block booking will cost £380.00 so unfortunately we need to charge for these sessions as we need to try and cover the cost, any additional monies raised will be spent on the junior Cricket section.

Please pass the word around your friends, family and work colleagues and try to bring any willing children along to give it a go.....

Jonathan and Mathew have now left the club, it would be great if one of our enthusiastic parents would be willing to help myself and Andy Hope at these coaching sessions.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing as many of you on 14 February.

Kind Regards

Andrew, Carol & Andrew
