At long last it looks like dryish weekend may be here....Yippee we all shout !!!! 1st XV at home as League leaders vs Didsbury Toc H. Support welcome

As Rugby Lovers all across the country celebrate this romantic weekend our lads engage themselves in the contest for league positions.

As Leaders of Lancashire (North) Div'n Trafford MV welcome old friends and rivals Toc H to MacPherson Park. Both sets of players will be glad to get back into action following the postponements of recent weeks. MV's pitches have been drying out nicely this week. Toc are sitting in a good mid table 7th position while MV are sitting top but still have plenty of hard work to put in.

The 2nd XV have a toughie with an away trip to top placed Fylde. Good recent MV form however gives hope against a team that has lost twice at home already this season - can MV make it a third defeat from their improving 10 position ?

Our 3rd XV also have a long away trip to Crewe and Nantwich where it is 4th vs 6th as MV look to narrow the gap in climbing nearer to the oppositions 4th spot.

Also on Saturday - long time club player and team captain Tony Morgans celebrates his 70th with his former team mates.

Lots of 6 Nations Rugby - washed down with excellent hand drawn ales from local breweries.

And on Sunday..........please don't forget us singletons !!!!!!

Quiz Night on Friday March 4th - get your teams together.

Also Under 20's Rugby World Cup - we are hosting IRELAND - Tickets available from Ticketmaster

Junior and Teens Rugby

Valentine's Day at MV, rose petals in the jugs of orange juice and extra love for the sausages.

No minis fixtures this weekend. It's half term so I imagine things will be pretty quiet.

The U13s are training at Broughton Park, the U16s training at home, the U14s are off to St Helens to play West Park.

For those hardy souls who can stick around then the colts are scheduled to play Penrith at 12:30.

All teams are scheduled to train on the 21st too.
