Trafford MV 1st XV make their first of 5 visits to Cumbria in this back half of the season. It will be the first visit to Aspatria by MV and the Club are looking forward to making new friends in Cumbria.

MV are expecting a tough game against a useful Cumbrian side, who lost narrowly last weekend to League leaders Carlisle 12-6. MV will be looking to improve on their narrow defeat at Oldham 19-12.

MV will be nothing if not competitive as they have collected a bag full of losing bonus points this season so far thanks to gritted defence and a fluent kicking and running game.

MV's travelling support will be headed by our own Cumbrian John'Touche' Phillips returning to his old stomping grounds.

Once again there are NO HOME GAMES at MacPherson Park on Saturday - Thank You League Rugby !

Our 2nd XV travel to Rochdale with a view to improving on their erratic form this season - a good win last week was hopefully a starting point.

The highlight of Sundays Rugby will be the visit of our Senior Colts to Heywood Road to take of Sale F.C. Colts. MV took the plaudits at home earlier in the season so lets see what develops on our short away trip - lets get a good level of support for the lads - it's on your doorstep !

For the younger players ....
After wrestling in the mud at Orrell the minis head home for a restful training session in our Mersey Valley paradise.

Sounds like the matches last Sunday were eventful, plenty of areas to work on ahead of home matches on the 29th.

The U11s however are hosting Heaton Moor, no rest for the wicked.

The U15s are training as are the U14s at home.

The kitchen rota sees the U8s putting on their aprons, 10am for the volunteers please.
