The World Cup is just around the corner with England kicking off the tournament against Fiji on September 18, and in the lead up to competition the trophy is about to arrive in the north-west.

It's a great chance to get a selfie with the silverware that England captain Chris Robshaw could be lifting in just a few months' time!

The tour is taking in some of the area's top local rugby clubs and to celebrate its arrival they are holding some fantastic festivals.

And it is not just rugby clubs that will get a chance to see the famous cup, the National Football Museum, Blackpool Tower and the RHS Tatton Flower Show are also hosting events.

Wednesday 22nd July Stoke-on-Trent: Trentham Gardens showcase an exhibition of winning rugby photographs from the 'This is Rugby Photography Competition', with the opportunity to take pictures of the Webb Ellis Cup next to the Idyllic Trentham Lake.
Thursday 23rd July Sandbach: Rugby World Cup Presentation Day at Sandbach RUFC with a kicking competition and Touch Rugby demonstrations from juniors, ladies and adults.
Knutsford: As part of the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park, schools are invited to design rugby themed gardens with the best in show presented with an award.
Chester Racecourse: Chester Racecourse RWC Tour Touch Festival will include a Touch Rugby Festival in celebration of the Rugby World Cup Tour.
Saturday 25th July Manchester: Family Fun Day at the National Football Museum with both indoor and outdoor activities and skills sessions for everyone to enjoy.
Bowdon: Sale Sharks Family Fun Day at Bowdon RUFC, with stalls, a bouncy castle and other attractions for all the family come down and participate in fun, competitive rugby activities!
Monday 27th July Manchester: An evening of Touch Rugby skills session for juniors and adults at Broughton Park RFC
Tuesday 28th July Bury: Bury Mobilised to Welcome the World Cup is an opportunity for the Bury community to see the Webb Ellis Cup! With a choir performing Rugby Anthems and a fan area for information on local clubs.
Crosby: A Festival of Touch Rugby including Beach Tag Rugby for all ages with juniors, women and men in a celebration of rugby.
St. Helens: Tag Rugby Festival 'Rugby United', for juniors involving local rugby clubs with each representing nations participating in the Rugby World Cup 2015.
Blackpool: The Webb Ellis Trophy will be on display in the Tower Ballroom with Bill Beaumont making a guest appearance! Rugby activities will also be taking place on the Comedy Carpet outside the tower
