Trafford MV travel to Upper Eden in the 5th round of the Lancs/Cumbria League looking to record their second win in Cumbria

A sound start to the season see's MV in a good mid table 7th position having won 2 and lost 2 but picking up important bonus points, both winning and losing, in their newly promoted season in the Lancs / Cumbria League.

Wins over Workington and Silloth plus a close defeat by Wigton give MV great hope whilst a challenging defeat by Carlisle shows the direction and ambition MV need to have going forward.

MV's pack has impressed so far whilst the expansive rugby played in the backs has stretched all opposition to date.

Captain Andy Quigley takes a strong selection to Upper Eden on Saturday and he is calling on all the membership at Trafford MV to get behind the team by supporting strongly on Saturdays and getting the same winning competition flowing through the 2nd and 3rd XV's.

The 2nds XV are away also at Burnley while the 3rd XV are the home side welcoming Linley and Kidsgrove to MacPherson Park.

On Sunday our Senior Colts U18's XV continue their impressive start to the season playing away at Warrington - they will be looking to repeat last weeks good performance winning against Penrith.

In the mini/Junior section there is loads going on !!!!!

The mini section start their fixture list this weekend, and for the Under 7s their first opportunity to wear our famous Black and White hoops in competition.

Joining them are the Under 8s, 9s and 10s as TMV invade the Manchester Festival. Good luck to all of the kids.

The U11s host our friends from Broughton Park, hopefully the rucking master class you received from the U14s from Wednesday night will hold you in good stead as you use this to prepare for your festival entry next week. The U12s are training at home.

The U15s are also at home training, as well as running the kitchens. A quiet week at least.

The U14s are at Broughton Park, reflecting on two good wins, 10 tries scored, no points conceded. Last weeks derby victory at Ashton was well managed, now to add some extra gloss and creativity.

The colts visit Warrington, hoping to build on a good win against Penrith last weekend.

The season is really here now!
