On Saturday MV 1st XV hit the road in search of much needed League points as they travel to Fleetwood. The home side started the season well but have recently hit a vein of bad form and with 5 defeats on the trot and a 41-5 defeat at Aldwinians they are certainly looking vulnerable. However playing at home and stinging from last weeks result they will definitely be playing for pride. MV on the other hand have performed well all season but have struggled to get across that winning line. Last weeks 10-22 defeat by Aspatria was a typical reflection of this. However a good game should be on the cards for players and spectators alike to enjoy.

The 2nd XV lost narrowly to Tarleton at home last week 10-13 and they will look to improve on this with a visit to Chorley 1st's who won 29 - 6 against LSH.

MV's 3rd XV take pride of place at MacPherson Park as they welcome Moore 1st XV as the opposition. Both teams won their last games MV 26-7 against Bowdon and Moore 40-7 against Winnington Park. However both teams are struggling in the league with MV bottom and Moore only one place above in 11th spot - so all to play for !

On May 20th MV will be holding a Beer / Cider and Prosecco Festival at the Club and we will be looking for your support as both drinkers and volunteers - so make a note of the date - details to be announced shortly - But we need your support to make this a big one.

The Minis are off to Ashton On Mersey, well the U7, 10s, 11, and 12s are anyway.

The Colts get a week off after a good win against Stoke last week.
