Trafford MV 12 Blackburn 13

Wet and cold conditions with poor tagging performance from Trafford result in a Blackburn win

With Trafford losing two players due to the inclement conditions even before the game started things didn't bode well!!!

Blackburn produced some good strong running and were first to score. Their tagging initially was superb which didn't allow the usuall Trafford strong runner s to gain any headway and soon Trafford found themselves on the back of a good hiding. wheteher the miserable wet weather was having an effect on the moral of the Trafford players, but their good tagging performance of previous weeks seemed to have been left at home.

Poor passing execution and the insistence of players only passing to their friends caused further problems for Trafford but all was not lost with strong runs coming from William, Tom, Oscar L and George, Trafford finally started to haul themselves back into the game.

At half time Trafford were two tries down on Blackburn, but after a lifting talking too and the sun starting to appear through the clouds warming cold bodies, the Tagging machine started to find its rhythm, finally Trafford refused to allow Blackburn the space and time to pick their runs.

Eventually the game was a lot more even and although Traffords performances were much better it still wasn't enough to overhaul the Blackburn lead, and Blackburn took the spoils 12 tries to 13 tries.

William was awarded player of the day for Trafford with some of his mesmerising stepping runs
