Bay lose out to Beumaris in the cup

Trearddur Bay crashed out of the cup today. losing 3-1 to Beumaris Town. Beumaris took the lead on the 5th minute and then followed that up with another goal around the 17th. Although bay had a lot of scrappy posesion they failed to create any decent openings with the Beumaris deffence holding strong apart from one corner that appeared to cross the line for a Bay goal only to be ruled out by the ref. In the second half it was more of the same as the ball seemed to be stuck in the middle of the park without cousing any GK problems. It was Beumaris that did finally break through and scored a gin to put them three clear. Ian Williams did have the ball in the net only for the ref again to rule it out for offside.Martim Mclymot scored with ten mins left after coming on as a substitute for the injured Barry Haigh. Although this was a bad result for the Bay there were positives to take from it as youngster Dan Connelly was given the chance to show what he has to offer the first team and did well plus Barry Lavelle coming back after a couple of games for the reserves, Also Aiden Goswell looks a good prospect in Defence with his first appearence for the first team
