Training April 1st
No April fools at Tring under 9's
Another beautiful sunny day, but too many of these in a row meant the pitch was disappointingly too hard for contact. So we decided to improve our passing handling and movement. We also made the best of it by practicing our line out skills and see the line out as a fantastic attacking opportunity when done well.
Matt Adams and Ben Noithip were entrusted with the handling, running and passing skills and obviously passed on some of their great knowledge as we certainly saw your skills improve, with some thoughtful, almost instinctive passing in the touch game at the end. Phil Bunting and I took the line out drills and wow did you improve, we saw in the game at the end that ball thrown and gathered safely and then passed well to the scrum half, so giving that attack a better chance of succeeding.
There were certainly NO APRIL FOOLS at Tring under 9's. on the 1st of April !!
So well done yet again.
Have a fantastic Easter break, enjoy all that chocolate, but be ready to burn it off on the 15th when we see you again.
Let's hope for rain otherwise we'll have to do a rain dance as part of training next time.
Regards
Matt Goodliffe

Jayne Ward - 1 year agoHi Matt - Loving the team updates. It was great to see 'skills' training this week. Would you like me to email this update to the non pitchero parents?

Stephanie Yule - 1 year agoCan we not encourage the none Pitchero parents to become Pitchero parents instead? The whole point of the website is to encourage everybody to be involved.
