Former TringRugby Boy Receives England U18 Call Up

3 years ago By Stephanie Yule

Former TringRugby player, Harry McCartney has received a call up for the England Under 18 rugby squad.

A delighted Harry, who moved to Henley College 2 years ago from TringRugby to further his rugby dream, commented: ‘I always felt confident that I would make the selection and simply put my head down and worked. The training programme and fitness we do at College through AASE has equipped me to compete at the highest level of schoolboy rugby.’

Harry is just one of our former players who has succeeded in gaining a place at Henley and joins a growing number of the College’s students who have received recognition for their rugby talents. In recent years students have also gone on to play for England A, the England 7s and Wales 7s and teams such as London Wasps, Saracens, Sale and Harlequins.

We wish Harry every luck and look forward to seeing more TringRugby boys running out for England in the future.
