Letchworth are very strong this year and no one would be surprised if all their 1s, 2s and 3s won their respective leagues. This aside is no excuse for the lack of passion Tring showed in the first half.

Tring had 7 players, starting their 1st game of the season with Warren William, at full back, for the first time playing very well and getting stuck in. As the game grew Tring started to get going only for tackling to let them down. Too many times Letchworth runners were no stopped first up and when a Tring tackler eventually brought the runner down , it was too late. Letchworth competed well at the breakdown giving an easy ride for their scrum half who distributed well to his backs. Tring found it difficult to adapt to Letchworth’s pace and easy tries were scored.

Shane Graham made a very good try to keep them in the game with a kick and chase. The ball fell kindly for Tring who were able to score. The introduction of George Dimitrias at half time produced instant results with the pacy winger shrugging off as tackle to score in the corner. Rob Harman upped the tackle count as did Carl Blackwell.

Our game can only get better as we look forward to going to OVs next Saturday
