As you know, the school run 5 teams on a Saturday morning. In the main we have plenty of players and coaches, however we do struggle to get qualified referees to help out.

Organising and coaching is quite a task (ask David, Woody and Hutch) and quite often the coaches then have to referee the match.

This is not ideal and it would be a great help if a few club members could help out.

To referee you need to attend a short course and then do an on-line laws paper (multiple choice and not timed) every couple of years.

The matches last approximately an hour and you just need to turn up 10 minutes before KO (usually 9.30), leave right away at the end and be home with your coffee and paper by 11.00.

If you have been critical of refs in the past (Mac??) then this might be your chance to show them how it’s done, whilst helping seal the link between the school and the club.
