Trinity Academy: The school of rugby programme at Trinity Academy is still operational, with all years receiving one session a week. The focus this week has still been 7s based, with the lower years still to have their school competitions.
Following the U18s example in their Edinburgh School’s 7s competition the week before, last week saw the U16s perform strongly in their age grade competition at Murrayfield. The team had trained well during the week and were becoming a rather competent 7s side. They entered the competition in high spirits and were rewarded by a first round victory over Boroughmuir High School, followed by a win against Dunbar in the next round. A close semi-final against Lasswade High saw the Trinity boys through to the final, which they narrowly lost to a strong Royal High side. This was a tremendous achievement - well done boys.
