Membership - Membership 1
The Youth section membership of our football club costs £15 (or £10 if you already have a brother or sister in the Club). This entitles you to train and play, as well as joining in any of the events we run as a Club.
Our ethos is to operate as a coherent Club from the Kids Club all the way through to our senior sides. Our Managers stay with each age group as they progress year to year. The Kids Club is our foundation and the first introduction to local football. Our Manager will then take you into mini-soccer (5 a-side (non-competitive) for Under 7's and 8's, 7 a-side (competitive) for Under 9's and 10's). You will then be encouraged to start playing 11 a-side before moving on after Under 16's into one of our 3 adults teams.
Training and Match fees are charged at £3 a session, with money going back into the Youth section to cover the costs of playing and training facilities. The money we raise through the Youth does not fund our senior sides - other fund raising arrangements are in place. We aim to keep the costs to a minimum and they are limited to the significant costs we attract (last year we paid circa £25,000 just in playing and training facilities hire and upkeep). We are always looking to keep our outgoings to a minimum, but ask that our memebers recognise that delivering local football does attract costs. All our Committee Members and Managers are volunteers and no-one gets paid.
Our Club is therefore all about self help, whether fundraising to provide the basics to deliver our football, social events to stay in touch, or just pitch marking and set up to enable our players to participate. If you feel you could help in any capacity then please do not shy away from letting us know what you could do.
All our kit and equipment is provided via sponsorship an/or targeted fund raising. We are always looking for new sponsors, so if you think you can help please contact us.
We like to celebrate our achievements with an annual presentation evening. We have been very fortunate to be sponsored by E J Shanley and Son in the past, so every member gets a momento of being a part of this Club.
If you have any questions or queries, or are concerned about anything in the Club, then please do not guess about what we do, find out. Please feel free to contact any of the Club Officers, or drop us an e-mail at info@ttyc.co.uk. You can also add a comment by using the link at the foot of this post.
