The Tullochan Tigers are the first girls Rugby League team in Scotland. We established in February 2008 after a conversation in our local youth club with one the volunteers there, Jiggy (Andy Flynn). He told us he plays for the local union side and after begging him to let us join and failing, we decided that if boys can do it then so can us girls. And that is how it all started.
Later, we approached Loch Lomond Rugby Club and they very kindly volunteered their services and are now assisting with coaching us.
After we participated a 10 week Junior Rugby League Leadership Award, we decided to continue with playing the sport and thats when things got serious for us. After establishing ourselves as Tullochan Tigers A.R.L.F.C, we contacted the local press to get ourselves noticed.
