Magpies got out of jail with a last minute victory over Tenby by 26-23. Two tries, a conversion in the final two minutes of the match sealed the game.

A sterling second half fightback saw Tumble edge the Seasiders with two tries at the death to win this encounter.

From the outset Tenby produced some direct running and they went ahead when wing Simon Stanford crossed over in the corner after three minutes play. Tumble soon replied through the boot of full back Steve Hewitt converting a thirty five metre penalty.

Hewitt and Lewis traded penalties and a further penalty from Lewis after twenty eight minutes edged them in front

The Magpies were struggling at the set piece and were being pushed back such was the dominance of the visitors. Tenby pressed in the home twenty two and three scrums in succession collapsed close to their line and referee Ben Whitehouse awarded a penalty try which was converted after thirty two minutes.

Steve Hewitt kept the home side in touch with his third penalty two minutes later but Tenby were the stronger. A scrum in their own half saw them drive back the Magpies some fifteen metres and when the ball was recycled, the overlap was created and prop Martin scored.

Tumble clawed their way back into the game and runs by Allinson and centre Carl Gabrielsen caused panic. Linesout were being won by the Gareth Thomas and with backs now holding the ball and looking sharp, they forced their way upfield. This gave the Magpies confidence and when they pushed back the visitors in their own twenty two, the ball was sped wide allowing wing Dafydd Pritchard to crash over in the corner after fifty two minutes.

A penalty was awarded to the Magpies some ten metres out with a minute remaining. Opting for the scrum, Tumble pushed their opponents back and, with the scrum deliberately wheeled and collapsed, the referee award Tumble a penalty try which Hewitt converted. The restart saw Tumble gather the ball, Daniel Mathias made good ground and, three phases later wing Nicky Allinson was on hand to score in the corner with two minutes of stoppage time played.
