Let me welcome you from the behalf of Eagles Rugby Football Club to our brand new website! I personally hope this new Pitchero-platform will help us to deliver up-to-date info about our club, matches and other relevant (or not-so-relevant) information about what's going on with the Eagles. So far mens 1. XV's season 2011 has been the closest and toughest so far in history of Finnish Championship, all five teams in the league are highly competitive and all games have been physical and close encounters. This progress will benefit all teams, Finnish mens national team and of course Finnish rugby as a whole. At the mid-season mark, Eagles is reaching out for the place in the semifinal. Eagles are having everything in their own hands as we're ranked 3. at the moment!
Eagles is also proud to announce that we've started our very own ladies team, which will start with few friendlies this year and hopefully would be competing in the womens Finnish Championship in 2012.
As a chairman for this great club, I'm planning to write these little articles every now and then, mostly about Eagles and what's going down within the club, but also about topics concerning Finnish rugby and international rugbyscene as a whole - it's World Cup-year after all!
But like I said - Sign up and stay tuned, season 2011 is only half way done!
