In an evening that is already being planned to be replicated in the Summer Turton Wines in Bromley Cross hosted a mini fund raiser for the Club at their premises in the Village.
Guests were welcomed with a very pleasant sparkling Rose then it was 3 generous glasses of Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and a pale blush rose before Cheese biscuits and nibbles were served at half time.
To continue with the reds we were treated with a Piemonte from Italy a Pinotage from South Africa and a new one for most of us from Morocco L'Excellence de Bonassia.
Our host Phil was excellent both knowledgeable and humorous with no intention of any hard sell though I am sure many will return in the coming weeks to try something a little special that's not available at Bargain Booze or the Coop!!
Never meant to be a big fund raiser more a social evening but still raised a nice amount and big thanks to Phil and his team for generously donating a fine bottle of Armagnac for our Prize Draw
