The 2009 season has again since the club re-focus back on youth cricket. Over the years we have been fortunate enough to produce many fine players from local lads being involved in youth teams that have progressed into men's cricket. This season has seen the club start an under 17s team led by Tom Cook, a local lad who has been involved with the club for several years now. A promising wicket keeper and batsman, with a talent for recruiting local cricketers. Tom has been a major part in the club integrating many u17 players into the men's teams this season. Several players turn out regularly for both 1st and 2nd teams on Saturdays and have contributed hugely to the clubs results this season. The under 17s play in the Shires Cricket League and have performed well this season, beating Bicester and Oxford, both town sides with a lot more players available to them than Twyford.
