After numerous attempts to get 1st XI keeper, Bryan Clarke, to wash his kit, players have turned to former England cricketer, David Lloyd, for help.

David Lloyd, yesterday, issued a personal plea on behalf of all Uddingston cricketers, for Bryan Clarke to wash his kit.

For many seasons one striking characteristic of the Uddingston 1st XI dressing room has been the fug, lingering over Clarke's wicketkeeping gear. Despite countless complaints Clarke refused to wash his kit and, indeed, seemed to enjoy the fact that his whiffy attire caused offence to the nostrils, not only of his teammates, but also umpires and opponents.

Speaking exclusively to your intrepid reporter, umpire Alan Haggo spoke of Breebs' odour issues, "Where does he wear this cap? On his feet?"

Now, the players have had enough and team mischief-maker, Scott McKenzie, contacted Lloyd in the hope we would issue the plea.
