The super duper new practice facilities at Uddingston Cricket and Sports Club are due to be completed by the end of the month. The project will end just in time for outdoor nets at the club.

Speaking to a large number of supporters on the weekend, club president Jim Lockhart said, "There has been a delay with the completion of the nets due to the weather, and the contractors have also been held up with other projects due to the weather! However, they expect the project to be completed by the end of the month at the latest, which is great news."

The practice nets are being constructed by Clubturf, a company owned by the former England great, "Deadly" Derek Underwood.
