The old squash court building, currently being rented out as a nursery, is in the process of having a much needed make over prior to Saturday's much anticipated arrival of Tom Plant.
Last Friday, when working on the ground, groundsman Paul Hoffmann was approached by Boyd Tunnock. Upon hearing of Tom Plant's return to Uddy, Mr Tunnock told Hoffmann that his painters would give the old building a serious touch up before this weekend.
Once painted, the plan is to get some signage on the wall, along the lines of "Tunnock's Uddingston Cricket and Sports Club" with a big teacake or caramel wafer and the club logo on either side.
