New Players Welcome
United Services Portsmouth Rugby Club is delighted to announce the inauguration of their first Senior Womens Side. To be known as the US Portsmouth Sharks, the new side gives an opportunity for women of all ages and abilities (you don't need to have ever played before) to get muddy and enjoy the great sporting and social facilities at US.
The Womens side is the brainchild of Harriet Baker and Tori Cox, both of whom played rugby while at Portsmouth University. Says Harriet "We were really keen to continue playing Rugby after University and we are thrilled that United Sevices have offered us a home. We hope that this will appeal to civilian and services women alike – and we are looking forward to having some fun!"
So, whether you’re new to the sport with little experience, or already a keen player, come and join us for training session. Starting from Sunday 7 November you will find us every Sunday from 2pm at HMS Temeraire. Don’t forget your boots and gum shields!
