After learning to how to skate the Rugby Club will retain one of its most profitable fundraisers.

After a few weeks of skating lessons the rugby team has retained their role as ice crew for the hockey games. A big thank you to all players who took time away from class, practice, work and other commitments to pick up a second sport! And a special thanks to Jake Drzayich, Bernadette Tynan, Club Figure Skating and the entire learn to skate staff for helping the rugby team keep such an important fundraising opportunity.

"Last year the Rugby team put in well over 1,000 hours of fundraising," commented Dan Cruwys, DU Rugby's head of fundraising, "we understand the commitment it takes to compete for a national championship on and off the field and ice crew has always been an important fundraiser for us. In the end every dollar helps and we couldn't let this opportunity slip away."

Make sure to keep an eye out for the red rugby jackets during stoppage of play at any home game!
