Gator Fans,

For the second consecutive year, the Florida Gators have been selected as one of only 20 college teams in the nation to play in the USA Sevens Collegiate Rugby Championship, which will be held on June 1 & 2 in Philadelphia and is televised live on NBC.

Last June, the Gators battled back after a tough first day and won the Challenger Cup, defeating quality teams in Temple, North Carolina State and Maryland along the way.

The Gators hope to improve on last year’s performance, but we need your help.

As our team trains for the CRC, we are also tasked with raising money to cover our cost of entry. In order to meet our goal and ensure we are once again invited back to play in the CRC in the future, our club needs to raise $10,000.

The easiest way to meet our fundraising goal is through ticket sales for the event. For just $35, you can purchase a two-day pass for a premium, nationally televised tournament featuring the best collegiate rugby teams in the country. If you’re unable to attend the event, we still encourage you to make a donation to our club. A $100 donation from each of our alumni or family and friends of current players would go a long way toward helping us meet our goals, but a donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated.

For those who are donating and would like tickets, please include a note clarifying the number of tickets you need with your check.

All checks should be made out to the University of Florida, and please write Men’s Rugby Club in the memo line. Checks can be addressed to 3150 Hull Road, PO Box 112760, Gainesville, FL 32611. Anyone who wants to use this donation as a tax write-off must make the check out to the University of Florida Foundation with Men’s Rugby Club still in the memo line.
