Some communication breakdowns led to a quick try by the Volunteers who added another one at 12 minutes.

Florida was able to get on the board at 18 minutes as flanker Dourrian French scored his first career try in only his second game.

The Gators had some struggles defensively, highlighted by Tennessee’s two tries at 22 and 24 minutes.

However, UF responded before the half as eight-man Jonny Reynolds took a quick tap up the middle to put the score at 22-10 before Daniel Clarke's conversion.

After losing a couple players to injuries, the Gators struggled to get anything going in the second half and were outscored 10-0 in the final 40 minutes.

The young, but energetic Killer B's will have a chance at their first win against Vanderbilt this Saturday.
