Annual 7s Tournament
April 21st 2012 sees student 7s' most popular tournament rampage back on to the calendar bigger, better and more champagne than ever.
For over four decades St Andrews has played host to international players, students, club players and fans for what has become an annual institution and remains the original and the best University sevens tournament in the country.
The tournament sees 32 teams, mixing professional and social sides, from across the UK compete on one fantastic day of rugby, hosted on the ancient University Park in St Andrews. Play champagne rugby or join the thousands who come to watch the UK's biggest Student Sevens Tournament.
If watching some of the finest amateur and student sevens teams battle it out at Scotland's first university isn't enough for you, then the bustling pitchside on game-day will provide plenty to do and see.
As well as a scintillating student atmosphere (courtesy of our annual 5000+ spectators), enjoy the beer tents and promotional buzz of this established event.
Our main event sponsor, Rampant Sporting, will be promoting their latest stylish wares by the main pitch, so even if for you the detail is in the retail then its impossible to feel left out.
Come along and dip your toe in the infinity pool of St Andrews Sevens' variety, music, sunshine, and of course Champagne Rugby...
