The University of St Andrews RFC's annual rugby 7s tournament is held on University Park, St Andrews and is run by members of the rugby club. The mix of serious and social rugby has attracted players from all over the UK, and even abroad. The tournament has been running since the 1969/70 season and is becoming increasingly popular for players and fans alike, and has become the template from which many University 7s tournaments across the country are being created.
The Tournament is one of the most sought after competitions in the UK with teams desperate to be accepted to play. The standard is extremely high and has featured many professional players, Contracted 7s players, National Age Grade players as well as some of the most talented invitational teams in the country.
This year the 7s will take place on 16th April at University Park, with the taking place in the grounds of Sports Centre, St Andrews. The club is grateful for the support of our main sponsor - Lions Rampant, and for the additional support from The Inn on North Street.
