The Costcutter Cobras kept their 100% winning record on Wednesday as they defeated the Govani Maestros by 30 runs. UCC Hall of Famer Shafiq Rahman made his long awaited Cobras debut as he solidified the top order with a run a ball 33. Matt Tigg was the main stay of the Cobras innings as he hit 5 fours and 1 maximum in his 50* as they finished on 141 in their 20 overs.

The Govani Maestros lost wickets in regular intervals as the left arm spinners of the Cobras ripped through the middle order. Tom Larke and Matt Tigg both picked up two wickets with O’Dowd also joining the left arm wicket club. Mark Schofield (22) and Josh Lamont (21*) were the only Maestro batsman to get going.
