Weekend Round-Up - 29th/30th September 2018

With no scheduled 1st or 2nd XV league fixtures it was just the 3rd XV that were playing on Saturday against Woodford 3rd XV.

The 3rd XV put on a good show in front of the supporting VP's and won 43-0. Matt Burke getting Man of the Match.

On Sunday all attention was turned to the Youth sides playing the first round of the Essex Cup.

The U13's travelled to Wanstead and recorded a 50-15 victory to progress to the next round.

The U14's made the short journey to local neighbours Brentwood and came away with a 52-5 win.

The U15's were the only side at home and played local neighbours Campion. A strong team performance saw the hosts record a 54-5 win over Campion.

The U16's travelled to Harlow on the back of consecutive wins and recorded another victory - this time running out 47-15 winners.

The Colts made the longest journey to Braintree and despite a strong performance from the lads were on the receiving end of 26-21 scoreline.

Well done to all URFC Youth teams - the future is definitely looking bright!
