Today saw Epping under 14s take on Stanford-le-Hope in a league fixture. The team was a little depleted, with lots of boys away at Twickenham and a few with injuries. Clapton had a really structured squad, Stanford were short but Matt and Ross a couple of our U14s kindly help them make up the numbers.

The U14s decided to play with the wind to their backs and started strong scoring 3 quick trys from Tyler, Allan and our captain Tom. Stanford are always a good opposition and started to win more ball and get some phase play going but Clapton was playing well with Tyler and Josh scoring 2 more before half time . Which saw us finish the first half 31-0.

Second half, after a quick try from Tom and brilliant conversion kick from Lewis seemed to kick start Stanford into a more attacking play and really start to come at us and playing Rugby in the right areas of the pitch scoring and scoring 2 Trys and a conversion in a great 10 min spell bringing the scoreline to 38-12. A cheeky final try from Tyler made a convincing win for Clapton U14s in the league 43-12.
