Please bring your old bikes to UCFC to help kids in Africa

I am pleased to announce that the Club have agreed to work with and partner a Bike Charity called JoleRider - www.jolerider.org - who provide second hand bikes to adults and children in Africa.

The Club plans to hold the second bike collection day on Sunday 19th February.

All you need to do is bring along your old bike (please make sure it is in working order and not scrap) to the Club and will take it from you. We will arrange for the bikes to be collected by a local transport company who will then ship them over to Africa with the help of JoleRider.

All we ask from you for is a £10.00 donation made payable to Jolerider to cover the costs of shipping the items over to Africa. If you have more than one bike just make a £10.00 donation to cover them.

Having witnessed this first hand on my trip to Gambia 3 years ago, the difference it makes to the person is like you and I being given a Ferrari Sports Car.(Steve Slade, Chairman)

Please support the Club as this will make a massive difference to those less fortunate than ourselves.

If you have any questions please call me Steve Slade, Chairman on 07976896111

We sell a huge variety of used bikes and use ALL proceeds to finance the renovation and shipping of bikes to help African children get to school.

Many African children live in remote communities, a long way from their nearest school. Without reliable, affordable, motorised transport the only way these children can get to school is to walk. In searing heat, their journey to education on foot is a daily epic mission.

Having a bicycle makes a world of difference for these children, and for their families and communities too.

bikes4Africa refurbishes donated second-hand bikes and delivers them from the UK to African schools.

Remember! The sale of each and every bike will finance the renovation and shipping of at least one, and in many cases several bikes, to help African children get to school.
