Reds fine form continues at Hanwell
Uxbridge goalkeeper Zaki Oualah saved a ninth minute penalty, and then we hit three unanswered goals after half-time to overcome Hanwell last night.
It gives us a record of eight wins and just one defeat in all competitions since the start of the season.
Referee Peter Smith gave the hosts the penalty, when Oualah brought down Matt Lee. However, he guessed right to save well from Callum Duffy's spot-kick.
This was the only real chance Hanwell had to score really in the match.
We had most of it after this holding onto alot of the ball and playing some good flowing football.
Charlie Barton and Ethan Gillespie tested the reactions of young home keeper Jack Gordmanza, who saved commendably in goal.
Our best opportunity fell to Steve Edwards whose downward header from Barton's corner was cleared off the goal-line by David Gormally.
It took us just two minutes after the interval to go ahead, as Kildane YOHANNES aided by a slight deflection drilled the ball into the corner past Gordmanza.
The lead was quickly doubled when Gillespie had space in the box to set-up BARTON for a simple finish on 52 minutes.
Yohannes should have added to his first goal, but somehow managed to miss from Aaron Igbinyemi's cross.
The win was sealed by BARTON's wonderful curling shot, that went in off the post five minutes from the end.
