A 38-7, 6 tries to 1 victory was the result of several months of hard work with the new coaching set up.
Early tries from Gareth Wiggins and Luke Mathews set the team on their way as Uxbridge made good use of early possession. James Hamilton-Reed picked up a brace of tries either side of a score for Old Actonians.
Following a well orchestrated four man line out and several phases of recycled ball Stevie Partridge managed to get his hands on the ball and despite having been felled short of the line managed to bounce three feet further forward to touch down for the 5th Uxbridge score of the afternoon. Jason Clay wrapped up the scoring for the afternoon in the corner following a breakaway and some good support work from his fellow backs.
A special mention must go out to the 'retired' former first team captain Mark Mason who returned due to unforeseen circumstances at hooker.
Matt Jackson wrapped up a good performance with 3 kicks from 6 and the man of the match award.
Line up: Partridge, Mason, Smith, Mulligan, Radford, Lackey, Nicholls, Pitkin, Seward, Jackson, Matthews, Hamilton-Reed, Clay, Wiggins, Tupue. Subs: Donelley, Wilson.
