Fred Swarbrick travelled to Keswick yesterday to support the 4th XV. Spent an enjoyable afternoon in the company of a Past Skipper of the Vale who was also Skipper of the Cumberland and Westmorland XV (now Cumbria). He was also a proud Anti assassin !!

Just in case anyone can remember him, it is Mike Thompson who was one of the best centres to grace the Vale's pitches. What a strong player he was!!!
I actually got to play with him a few times in his latter days when he played for the A team a few times.
