Lewis Leauamona.
It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of Lewis following a car crash in New Zealand.
Lewis made his first team debut, after joining from Scotland, on 6 February 2010 at home against Broughton Park, helping his new colleagues to a 20-15 victory.
Lewis, in his all too brief time at the Vale, made 8 appearances, plus one as a replacement, and scored 4 tries.
Off the field Lewis was modest, quiet and studious, but one he crossed the whitewash he became a destructive and powerful number eight in true Samoan style.
The Vale's sympathies are extended to Lewis's family and friends at this sad time as we recall memories of an unassuming gentleman who will always be remembered in our hearts as a gentle giant.
