4th August 1914 marked the beginning of a bloody conflict that affected millions, including sadly, members of our club.
A plaque will be unveiled in Vale of Lune's clubhouse on Saturday at 1.00 pm., in memory of those club members who lost their lives in World War One.
The ceremony will be held in the presence of the Mayor of Lancaster, Susie Charles and MP's, Eric Ollerenshaw (Lancaster and Fleetwood) and David Morris (Morecambe and Lunesdale), plus players, members, supporters and friends.
The project was masterminded and researched by club member Eric Wilkinson.
