Cougars back in training
Valley Cougars will resume training this week ahead of the 2012 season.
The squad will be put through its paces for the first time on Friday (7:30pm - 8:30pm) at the Astroturf facility on Pantglas Road, Aberfan as they prepare for the preliminary round Challenge Cup tie at Dewsbury-based Shaw Cross Sharks (on February 4th).
The Cougars are looking to build on what was an encouraging debut season in the Conference National – which will be now known as Conference Three under the recent RFL restructure – where they reached the end-of-season play-offs.
With the club in the process of appointing a new head coach, South Wales Scorpions supremo Dave Clark will oversee this week’s session.
