Fancy a Football Mash Up?
The FA Vauxhall Youth Programme
Are you 14 to 17 years old and no longer able to commit to playing 11-a-side football for your local club, and yet you still want to have a kick-around with your mates? Then a ‘Football Mash Up’ through The FA Vauxhall Youth Programme sounds perfect for you.
At The FA we understand that for a variety of reasons teenagers drop out of playing regular 11-a-side club football, and this doesn’t necessarily mean that these young people have fallen out of love with the ‘beautiful game.’ There can be many factors that can lead to teenagers cease playing, whether it is homework, exams, part-time employment, or simply because it’s not as fun as it used to be. Whatever the reason it doesn’t mean that you have to stop playing entirely.
The FA with the support of Vauxhall, have developed a new programme aimed at encouraging boys and girls aged 14-17years old who have dropped out of regular football to get back into the game. The Football Mash Up initiative is basically a kick-about with your mates, overseen by an FA coach who will ensure that the sessions are fun and sociable with you and your friends getting to choose how you would like to play.
Football Mash Up sessions are played on high quality 5-a-side pitches in numerous locations around the country. They take place after school, typically between 4 -6pm on weekdays.
