It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to tell you of the sad passing of one of our Vigo family. Lesley Higgins passed away last Friday after a long battle against cancer. Diagnosed with breast cancer originally, Lesley fought hard and with a courage and unbelievable cheerfulness. When she thought she had licked it, this dreadful disease came back hard elsewhere, and this time even the indomitable Lesley was unable to resist. She died at home with her beloved Andrew by her side. Some of us know what Andrew, Georgina and Rebecca are going through. Some of us can only guess. There are no adequate words to offer comfort to them and Lesley’s family. We can only hope and pray with them and for them in these dreadful times. The Vigo family has always been there for others. We are there for them now. Rest in peace, Lesley.

Lesley's funeral is to be held at St. James the Great Church, East Malling ME19 6AH on Monday 6 June, at 11 a.m.. Lesley has requested that no-one should wear black. Please no flowers, rather a d8nation to Cancer Research UK. Afterwards at Vigo RFC.
