Vinters started the Real 60 Tournament the same way as they finished it with a convincing victory over Cliffe Woods,two goals from Charlie Vass and one from Huw Mitchell saw them run out 3-0 winners.This was then followed by a 3-0 victory over Kingfisher thanks to goals from Charlie Vass,Darren Cooper and Matt Bell.With a no show from Chatham, Vinters then faced a Quarter Final match against hosts Real 60.This unfortunately was a slightly lacklustre perfomance but they had Charlie Vass to thank for a 1-0 victory.A long wait and plenty of rain then saw them face Bredhurst in the Semis but this time Vinters were quick out of the box with early goals from Jordan Bartlett and Matt Bell with Charlie Vass wrapping it up 3-0.In the Final the faced their first round opponents Cliffe Woods and it looked as if it was going to be a frustrating afternoon as Charlie Vass 3 times Darren Cooper and Jordan Bartlett all saw opportunities go agonisingly wide.Eventually a mistake in the Cliffe Woods defence saw Charlie Vass through to slide it passed the CW Goalkeeper.With Vinters in control a speculative CW effort came out of the sun and bounced over Harry Earls in the Vinters goal 1-1 at half time.Vinters came out attacking but it was defender Finley Poole who showed his forwards how to finish driving forward from his own half and unleashing an unstoppable shot from outside the box.Another sweeping Vinters move saw Huw Mitchell put Vinters name on the trophy with Matt Bell wrapping things up with another sweet strike from just inside the box, 4-1 Vinters.Boys well done!!Our first Trophy of the new season.
