SHOLING RESIGN FROM SOUTHERN LEAGUE

“It is with heavy heart I have to inform you that it is our intention to resign from the Division 1 South & West League at the end of the current season (2012/13) and drop down to the Wessex Premier Division.

This decision has not been taken lightly and we have been honoured to be a member of the Southern League. Our decision is based purely on financial reasons. We have received planning consent on our application for a new facility and our resources will be stretched to the limit as we ensure that the project is delivered within budget.

The new facility will provide much needed revenue and it is hoped, in time, that the Club will be in the position to apply for promotion back the Southern League”.

The Best possible solution for Sholing F.C. , and in the end no doubt the right Solution

The plans and new training facilities that are currently in the clubhouse to view
Are outstanding and this will firmly put the club in a much stronger position in the future.
The new facilities as mentioned by Dave Diaper will provide a strong platform for the club to attract new revenue and income.
This club is part of the community and the planned facilities will take this club forward and we will have the most up to date and leading facilities in this area.
Everyone from the first team down to the youth teams are proud to be part of this club.
We are entering a fantastic era for this club with all the exciting developments that are happening here.

A very, very tough thing for the club to have to do. I am gutted that they have had to do it, but I can understand why they have made this decision in these tough times.
    Heartbroken (but i'll live)

A sad day, but I for one will still be supporting Sholing.
