Wadebridge Camels 28 Torquay Athletic 3
WADEBRIDGE Camels turned on the style in the second half to pick up a bonus-point win and stay on the fringes of the promotion race.
They had lost three of their previous four games, but playing at their Molesworth Field home proved a big comfort as they completed the double over the Tics this season.
The hosts only led 6-0 at the break, courtesy of two penalties from James Grubb.
Torquay managed a penalty of their own in the second half, through full-back Mawgan Penrice, but Camels responded with four tries.
Dom Hawkey and Matt Ballard provided touchdowns, one converted by Grubb, before two late scores from full-back Will Pengelly.
Camels are now 11 points off leaders Devonport Services, and eight behind second-place Cullompton.
Wadebridge: Tries: D Hawkey, Ballard, Pengelly (2); Con: James Grubb; Pens: James Grubb (2).
Torquay: Pen: Penrice.
