Wadebridge 67 – St Austell 10

Following on from last week’s disappointing game, the team raised their game and everyone to a man played well. There were some excellent runs and great individual performances from Sam Pickard and Simon Riley on the wings and some great running from Owen Wilson. James Eggins showed some excellent ball handling in the first half.
With a couple of injuries in the second half, Ed McInnes moved into full back and saved a try with a fantastic tackle against a player twice his size and gave us some great kicking, converting 7 tries. Ties were scored by Owen Wilson, Sam Pickard, Simon Riley and Hugo Culverhouse.
All in all a well fought game and great to see lots of consistency in terms of pressure and stamina.
