A very cold and windy morning and a rock hard pitch saw the meeting of these two teams both with scores to settle.
Wadebridge scored the opening try with Jack Old scoring and converting getting the team off to a good start.
Wadebridge had plenty of possession but St Austell kept their ground and the match was pretty even throughout with each side scoring alternatie trys.
Wadebridge trys from Simon Riley and Owen Wilson so was allowed to play for a short time following his injury last week and he certainly made the most of his time on the pitch.
Both hacks kept the scrums going well but Wadebridge had more weight and momentum to keep winning their scrums and some of their opponents'.
In the last few minutes St Austell came fighting to try and wni the game but Wadebridge played for their lives and the defence stopped everyone that St Austell made.
With several team players off with injuries it was good to see the whole team taking part in the game. Special mention to Will Bennett for an amazing game.
