Wakefield picked up their first point since turning amateur.
Returning striker Dan Sheriffe's double blast was overshadowed by a last minute equaliser from Tom Marsden as Wakefield earned a hard fought draw in a game that they should of put to bed long beforehand.
Sheriffe struck on 16 & 24 minutes, one of them follwing a Peskett header that struck the bar.
Wakefield had most of the first half possession but allowed Clitheroe a chance to get back into the game when Glodi Kuba-Kuba and Calvert on 31 & 36 respectiveley scored for the visitors, against the run of play.
Thornton and Sheriffe tested the keeper from free kicks, Peskett was a handful in the air for the towering Clitheroe centre halves, captain Grant was again involved in everything and was no doubt man of the match despite Sheriffe's brace.
In the second half Clitheroe split the Wakefield defence on 67, Trueman in the Bears goal should of cleared it but looked to slip and allowed Madeley to put Clitheroe into a unjust 3-2 lead.
Wakefield continued to press using both flanks as Moke and Marsden pinged in cross upon cross, and in the 90th minute they got their just rewards when Marsden equalised to gain the Bears a much needed point in their fight against relegation.
Next week the Bears are in a 6 pointer away v Prescot Cables.
